Higher risk of illness, work and social problems seen in long-term study
An interesting finding – being a bully negatively affects your health and well being as an adult. And the group called the bully-victim (a victim who later begins to bully others) is at the highest risk of negative adult outcomes.
There are so many factors that lead to bullying, with parental discipline style, interaction style, and the child’s temperament profile being major components. We need to start at the beginning when children are very small and help them and their parents understand how styles of interaction helps or hurts the child’s social and emotional development.
